6. What is the purpose and how does the legislatively directed spending item provide a public benefit that is an appropriate use of taxpayer money?
NAYA, dba NAYA BHHS, will support the Yemeni community and all Michigan community members eligible for services who seek support for Case Management, Behavioral Health, all services related to assisting American citizens and new Legally documented arrivals to adjust to their new lives, and any other type of social service support related to day to day living for all community members. We work to support clients to become self-sufficient and independent in navigating and fulfilling their day to day needs. This includes, but is not limited to, connecting clients to resources for housing, education, employment, DHHS support, social security, and any other local, state, or federal agency. We collaborate other local organizations to promote and educate all communities about health & mental health while working to support integration and acculturation for all legal Michigan citizens into the larger community of the state of Michigan.
