- The purpose of the work of SRSLY Dexter is to prevent and decrease youth substance use in Dexter, MI. Additionally the purpose is to support youth mental health in Dexter, MI. This will be accomplished through education, awareness campaigns, evidence-based practices as part of the strategic prevention framework, and youth-leadership skill building. This provides the public benefit of decreasing the number of people with substance use disorders and mental health disorders and the related physical and mental health risks and needs. SRSLY Dexter provides important pro-social community involvement and leadership opportunities for youth and family, and partners closely with Dexter Community Schools to do so. As such, our programming benefits public health and education.
